OUR SPECIAL EXPERTISE

Our research and development department's expertise on wood technology ensures convincing results and reproducibility at all times, even with demanding steaming processes, e.g. for extremely light colour tones or precisely adjusted, uniform colour settings.

MÜHLBÖCK STEAMING KILN

The kiln housing of the steaming kiln is made of stainless steel. The entire kiln housing and the base of the steaming kiln are also welded. This is the only way to ensure a long service life for the system.

Heating

  • Direct heating via steam distribution tube
  • Indirect heating through a steam basin, which is itself heated by a tubular heat exchanger (steam or hot water) or a steam injector.

MÜHLBÖCK COMBINED KILN

The Mühlböck Combined Kiln, a combined drying and steaming kiln, is available in the 1306 LITE and 1306 PRO versions. The combination of steaming and drying processes in a single system results in a number of advantages in terms of feeding and energy savings..

Two work steps with one system

The combined drying and steaming process in a single system eliminates the need for restacking and batch changes between steaming and drying.

01
Energy efficient

Heat recovery with 1306 PRO

Highly efficient heat recovery in combination with the efficient supply and exhaust system means greater economy and cost savings in thermal energy consumption, of up to 25% compared to conventional systems.

02
1306 Lite Drying Kiln
Cost effective

Optimum heat utilisation

As the heat-up process for steaming and drying is only required once and the heated air remains in the kiln between the processes, there are considerable heat savings in the combined kiln.

03
Time savings

Quick results

The heating process is much faster than in conventional systems thanks to the optimised interaction of heating coils and steam injection. In addition, throughput times are reduced due to reduced processes. For example, the cooling process after steaming is already used for drying.
