Increased drying capacity in Hines Creek

In the spring of 2018 Zavisha Sawmills in Hines Creek, Alberta Canada has increased their drying capacity with two Mühlböck drying kilns with Heat Recovery system 1306.

Zavisha Sawmills is a family business that was started in 1943 by Henry Zavisha and his brother–in-law when they purchased a sawmill 15 miles NE of Hines Creek to harvest softwood. And even today the company is still successfully owned and operated by 2nd and 3rd generation family members.

This sawmill produces a variety of lumber species, such as Balsam Fir, Spruce, Pine and Aspen. And aside from the North American market, Zavisha Sawmills has exported their products to markets in Germany, UK, Belgium, France, Algeria, Iran, Australia, Taiwan, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.

Zavisha produces and develops a wide range of quality products based on the on-time demands of its customers. With their newly added Mühlböck drying capacity, they are assured of the best drying results at the lowest possible thermal energy costs. And with Mühlböck as their partner, Zavisha Sawmills is ready for the challenging environment of today’s lumber markets.
